Building on the wonderful feedback from the workshop held in Taos, New Mexico last fall, Maija West, founder of Moxie Lab, is offering a Central Coast leadership retreat for women in Carmel, California.

At this retreat, everyone is seen as a leader. You will not be asked for your title at this event.
This retreat is for women at the crossroads, of any age or cultural background. The crossroads can be defined as a time in one’s life where their current view is no longer working for them. The focus of the retreat will be to guide participants through a series of experiences and exercises related to self-leadership, self-care and meaningful action. And…no one will be forced to share! 🙂 Participants from past events often speak of leaving the retreat with a renewed sense of purpose in their work or their life.
Participant questionnaire: Please note that the online participant questionnaire must be completed prior to the retreat.
Payment: You may purchase your ticket with either Square, Paypal, or check made payable to Moxie Lab and mail to the address listed below. Please make payment before October 15, 2016. Time: This event is on Friday and Saturday, from 9 am to 3 pm each day, with a break for lunch. All guests are asked to stay at the site for lunch during that time period.
Food: Morning coffee service, snacks and lunch will be provided. The food will be vegetarian.
Location: This event will be held at a beautiful private residence in Carmel, California. Once you have purchased your ticket, the final address and other details will be emailed to you.
Lodging: Out of town participants will need to secure their own lodging. While it is off season, you are encouraged to make reservations as soon as possible if you are traveling from outside the area.
Once I pay, what is next?
All retreat attendees are asked to complete the short, online participant questionnaire and to participate in a brief phone call prior to the retreat. Once we have received your payment, Alysia or Maija will email you to set up a time for the brief phone call. If you wish to speak to us prior to making your payment, please email us. You may also make your payment by check.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
You must be over eighteen to attend this event, unless you have the written permission of a parent or guardian.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There is limited parking at the retreat location. You may also take Uber or another car service to the event and park at a location near Ocean Street in downtown Carmel. Once you sign up, more details will follow.
What can/can’t I bring to the event?
Please wear comfortable clothes. Cell phone use during the event is strongly discouraged. With that said, you will have time to check your phone a few specific times during the day.

Your registration is not transferrable.

What is the refund policy?
Please note that there will be no refunds or discounts for arriving late, leaving early, flight cancellations, travel delays or illness. If you cancel your participation in a retreat for any reason, the cancellation policy below will apply, with no exceptions. We wish we could compensate people for unforeseen circumstances (injury, family emergency, etc.), but we have costs already incurred. We have designed our cancellation policy to be as compassionate as possible in the case that your plans change. But to protect yourself further, we strongly encourage you to purchase travel insurance.
IF YOU CANCEL:
45 days or more prior to the start of the retreat, you receive: 100% credit of the cost of the full retreat toward another Moxie Lab Retreat within 12 months.
31-44 days prior to the start of the retreat, you receive: 50% credit of the cost of the full retreat toward another Moxie Lab Retreat within 12 months, and will forfeit the remainder.
0-30 days prior to the start of the retreat, you receive: no refunds or credits will be given.

IF WE CANCEL THE RETREAT: We have never had to cancel a retreat, however, if we do cancel a trip due to too few participants, we will refund to you all deposits and payments you have paid. We cannot however compensate you for airfare or travel costs incurred. In the unlikely event that Moxie Lab must cancel a retreat due to weather, natural disaster or political upheaval, we cannot guarantee a refund – it will be depending on receiving a refund from the venue / tour operator we work with. To cover these risks, we highly recommend you purchase travel insurance.

Moxie Lab Leadership
Organizer of Central Coast Retreat
Moxie Lab is a new take on leadership that asks its clients to question their definition of leadership, and to challenge what it means to be a leader in our society today. The leadership program encourages participants to ask themselves what their vision is for their lives, and whether their conduct, community and profession reflect that vision. Through specific exercises, Moxie Lab guides participants to use their own internal resources to answer these questions to build a more authentic leadership style, rather than relying on outdated leadership techniques.
Through a research‐based curriculum, participants are guided through a process to create their own unique leadership vision and are further supported by giving them a new network to meet with other like‐minded individuals to share in that voyage.
