B Corps and Social Enterprise Entities: Corporate Structures and Certification Process

Join us for an exciting lunch event! The members of Social Enterprise Monterey County are proud to sponsor this panel series on social enterprise companies and what emerging leaders on the Central Coast are doing to bring this concept to Monterey County. This panel will include Vince and Athena Suich, owners and founders of The Sox Box, the first certified B-Corp in Monterey County, who will speak on the B-Corp certification process and their business. Maija West, social enterprise and business attorney, will provide legal information on how to incorporate a social purpose mission into a company’s business model. And representatives from the Center for Social Impact Learning, MIIS and CSUMB will be there to discuss the resources available to individuals and existing businesses in Monterey County who are interested in taking a step in this direction.
